GORE-TEX® 2 Layer Lined Over Trousers - EBRO

Bought the trousers to use for fishing, very good seams, the zips in the legs are very useful for putting on over boots. The length is a bit long but ideal for when sitting fishing for hours as they cover the boots / ankles. Overall very pleased with them and any water just glides off them. Bought the matching jacket too !!

As per the review title, I bought these to accompany the Hudson jacket after being suitably impressed with it . Colour match was spot on, and although the website doesnt explicitly state it, they are from the same manufacturer

Trousers are very well made like the jacket, with 2 zips from ankle to knee to aid fitting over boots and 2 storm flapped openings for access to trouser front pockets beneath.

The sizing chart was a bit confusing as it seemed to jump one waist size between 2XL and 3XL?. I went for the 2XL and was glad I didnt go for the 3XL. (I would have needed braces [suspenders for US readers])

Tons of legroom , seams well taped, no hanging threads. I fancy the fabric is a little less stiff than the coat which is probably a good thing. Leg length is around 32" which is OK for my 31" pins , whether I will turn them up slightly is debateable. The lining is solid not meshed like the matching jacket

Negatives ?

Well a little more hip room in the 2XL would keep the pocket access flaps better closed but that might just be my child bearing hips (!?). Not really going to be a problem as when wearing the coat they are completely covered by it due to the extra length (which I was specifically looking for)

And whilst the price point is very good for Gore-Tex (TM) , its not as instantly attractive as that of the Hudson coat (in terms of £ per square foot of fabric)
But a complete set of top quality, breathable, professional grade waterproofs , in a full range of sizes (XS to 5XL) for less than a "Name brand" mountaineering jacket ? As the chancellor says at the end of the budget each year "I commend them to the house!"

Lovely blue colour and the medium size length perfect for my Husband who’s 5’10”. These over-trousers are a fantastic buy. Highly recommend.
